Okay - the blog is back! Cut me a little slack, we're up to our armpits in dirty diapers and sleepless nights. I must start by saying that Penelope's entrance into our life has been the most amazing experience - we truly feel blessed. She is absolutely beautiful... obviously getting those genes from here gorgeous mother. Little Penelope is just about 3.5 weeks old and she's grown so much already!... partly because she was only 5 pounds 2 ounces at birth. She has been to two pediatrician appointments and is doing extremely well in terms of weight gain, alertness, and quantity and quality of dirty diapers.
Rachel has recovered extremely well from surgery and has been an amazing mother. She has definitely been carrying the load (pun intended) so that I can be somewhat rested for work; however, I do help with bottles and occasional feedings in the middle of the night. We have both been caught off guard in the middle of a diaper change, when she decides to turn the poo faucet on full blast... guess those are just hazards of the diaper game.
Visitors to-date have been Grandma Rabidoux, Grandpa Avesian and Auntie Katie arrives tomorrow!
