That's right, the nursery is finally finished! It's only appropriate to thank all of those that made this nursery possible - Dad, the furniture is awesome!; Mom, thanks to you, Penelope will be clothed for the first 15 years of her life; Dad-in-Law, the glider chair is awesome, and thanks for your helping hand on the furniture!; Rachel, your choice of bedding, appropriately called "Penelope", was just perfect - thanks to all of the Avesian/Kezlarian Cousins for funding the purchase!
As for me, well, I painted the room, put the furniture together, painted the wall flowers, assembled and hung the letters. However, without Rachel's tireless efforts in "cooking the baby", mine would be meaningless. The car seat was installed a few weeks ago, and the stroller is ready to go.
For those of you who didn't hear through the grape vine, Penelope almost jumped the gun on us last week! Just a normal 35 week check-up, when our doc discovered that Rachel's amniotic fluid (surrounding the baby) was pretty low. Rachel was then admitted to the hospital for IV fluids, and the baby was monitored for stress - both Mom and baby are doing great. The doc also put Rachel on official bed rest (more like house arrest), until little Penelope is born - which, much to our surprise, will be EARLY! Our doctor anticipates delivering her within the next couple weeks! Awesome! Penelope has a strong heart beat, strong blood flow, is very active, and will be full-term at 36 weeks this coming week. Though we weren't expecting her for another month, we are so excited for her to bless us with her presence.
I'll continue to keep you all updated, but in the mean time, we appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
Love to you all!
Jason
The room looks amazing! Lucky Penelope!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe she'll be here so soon! Eeee!
Rachel, can I go on "sympathy bedrest" for you? :)
