Last week was a challenging one for Rachel, myself, little Penelope, and the entire family, as we dealt with the loss of an amazing mother, wife, friend, sister, aunt, artist, horse whisperer, thrill seeker.... and soon-to-be grandmother - Penelope Avesian. There is not a doubt in my mind that even though we lost her presence, Penelope will live on in the love, laughter, creativity, energy and spirit of everyone she touched, and those she dreamed of ... little Penelope, there's an angel watching over you.My wife is absolutely gorgeous right now... not that she wasn't before, but the belly is beautiful! Just as the belly grows, so does little Penelope - her "wiggle room" is getting smaller and smaller. Rachel actually saw movement for the first time last week... a foot? a hand?... who knows! The baby is currently about 8.5 to 9 inches long, weighing in at 1.5 pounds. As she continues to grown, her organ systems, nervous system, digestive system, circulatory system and even reproductive system are maturing as well. Additionally, the spinal structure is starting to form and take shape, and her nostrils may open up soon!
Thanks to ALL of you for your support, love and kind gestures over the last couple of weeks - including all of the wonderful gifts for little Penelope!
New belly shot next week - this week, a photo of our baby's guardian angel....
WE LOVE YOU MOM!.... Jason
